The U.S. Corp of Engineers and S.C. Department of Natural Resources Welcomed Back the Birds by celebrating the completion of the Crab Bank Restoration on April 5, 2022 at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Joined by Governor Henry McMaster, members of the local delegation, supporting organizations and large donors, the afternoon highlighted the completion of the dredging and placement of sediment to restore Crab Bank Seabird Sanctuary, a vital resting and nesting area for shorebirds.
